Benjamin Groenewoud

Head of Digital Product (AW LAB, A Bata Group´s company)

Benjamin Groenewoud is the Head of Digital Product at Bata Group, leading the digital transformation of one of the world’s most iconic footwear brands. With a strong background in digital analytics, conversion rate optimization and product management, in the past 1,5 years he has been driving Bata’s e-commerce growth and, together with Bata’s partner Reskyt, recently launched the new Bata app.

Before joining Bata, Benjamin worked on both the agency and client sides, gaining extensive experience in e-commerce and digital strategy. He has held different roles in the field of e-commerce at Mirabeau (now part of Cognizant), Travix (Cheaptickets.nl), and Maxeda DIY Group (Praxis), helping brands scale their digital experiences.

Benjamin lived in Utrecht before moving to Italy for his role at Bata. Now based in Vicenza (Italy), he’s embraced his dolce vita - though he still debates whether Dutch filter coffee or Italian espresso is the real productivity booster. Speaking at a Dutch conference again, he wonders: has he already become a bit Italian? Expect at least a few hand gestures in his talk.
