Magento introduces m-commerce
The open source webshop software from Magento expands towards the mobile platform. In the end of May the company will announce the details of this expansion during conferences in France and Germany.
To ask more attention for the mobile commerce theme, Magento opened the weblog The Future of M.
“In the near future consumers will use their mobile phone more often than the personal computer.” according to product manager Tim Schulz. “Mobile phones will become an essential part of nearly every step in the purchase process. It will be very hard to compete in this mobile climate. Nonetheless every company will have to have a strong mobile strategy.”
About 60.000 webshop owners currently use the software of the nearly two-year old Magento.
