The goal of the "Safe Payment Certification" is to increase the confidence of consumers in the online order and payment process. The strict screening of the webshops guarantees the consumers that ordering and paying at the webshops, holding the certification, is secure and safe.
To hold the Safe Payment Certification, the webshops are obliged to follow the (legally) safety presciptions of the online order and payment process.
Besides that stimulates the "Foundation Safe Payment Certification" the dialogue between the webshops and payments service providers to exchange information, in order to increase the confidence of the consumers.
